BIOGRAPHY

I am a solo practitioner lawyer in California with over 30 years of experience representing both small business owners and employees in the area of employment law. I have represented clients throughout the superior courts of California, including the counties of Amador, Butte, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Fresno, Humboldt,  Lassen, Mendocino, Nevada,  Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin,  Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, and Yuba. I have also represented clients before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

My practice includes wage and compensation claims before the California Labor Commissioner’s Office, Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Paid Family Leave benefit claims before the California Employment Development Department, equal pay claims before the California Labor Commissioner's Office, and ​appeals of denials for disability and industrial disability retirement benefits with CalPERS, CalSTRS & SCERS.

I also prepare, review, and revise employee handbooks; draft employment, independent contractor, severance, and settlement agreements; handle grievance arbitration, mediation, and contract negotiations; provide California mandated sexual harassment training;
